Welcome to Tanky-Tank!

Tanky-Tank is an arcade-style, top-down, tank combat game. It's currently being developed by a number of current and former residents of Anne Arundel Hall at the University of Maryland for the sheer joy of creating a computer game.

Although Tanky-Tank is not yet finished, it is still very playable. Current features include fast-paced LAN/internet multiplayer, six different tanks, hand-drawn artwork, a working map editor, team and capture-the-flag play, and several difficulties of A.I. players.

Please feel free to download the game (it's free!), learn to play, and give us your feedback!

A new version of Tanky-Tank has been released.

Latest changes:

  • Tanky-Tank should now work on Windows Vista with UAC enabled.
  • User settings are now stored per user account on the computer. The location of Settings.txt has changed to:
    •     On Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Tanky-Tank\Settings.txt
    •     On Windows Vista: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Tanky-Tank\Settings.txt
  • LobbyServer will now attempt UPnP to automatically open ports in routers.
  • When loading or saving a map, you may click on a map and press the DELETE key to delete a map.
  • When loading or saving a map, you may press the F12 key to open the folder that contains the maps.
  • Hopefully fixed "Flag respawn location not found" bug.

Download it now! Or start Tanky-Tank and wait for the "new version" message to appear.
